Food and Fun Chef of the year : Matti Jämsen

Matti Jämsen from Finland was the Finnish participant in the 2011 Bocuse d’ Or in Lyon France last January. He ended in 5th place but the Nordic region took all the prices this year. With Denmark, Sweden, Norway in the first three and Finland and Iceland number five and seven.
This tell us a lot about the prestige, quality and popularity of the New Nordic Cuisine. It is the biggest trend in the culinary and restaurant world today.

 

It was an exciting competition and the title could easily have been given to the other two extreamly talented finalists, Even Ramsvik & Andreas Anderssen. Congratulations to Matti Jämsen, Food and Fun Chef of the year.
