Different arrangements for this year's competition

Food and fun takes part on March 9 – 13.
There will be 16 participating restaurants in Reykjavik.
Every restaurant will host one guest chef which does a menu together with the chefs at the restaurant. The menu should descripe the guest chefs culinary skills.

There will be a jury of 12 celebrity chefs and food writers which will be devided into 3 groups. The restaurant will be as well devited into 3 groups, 5 restaurants in each of them.

Each group of jury will draw to a group of restaurants. The jury will then go on two nights into all of the restaurants in their group and select the best one in each group.
That will go on on Thursday and Friday.

On Saturday those 3 chosen winners of each group will compete in front of live audience with their menu. That will end in the “Reykjavik Food and Fun Chef 2011” winner prize. There will be made a tv-show about the main event which is going to be televised and distributed online.

This time the whole food and fun circus will be a great media event in Iceland. We will cover it daily with media both audio and written.

The jury will be playing a bigger part than before as the media persons that goes from a restaurant to a restaurant to judge the food of the chefs and the restaurants. This way it will be more interactive and have more value to the public. Everyone will be following the scene and many have already made up their mind about the winning menu etc.
Of course eveyrone is fantastic chef and a restaurant but someone has to win. There will also be more prizes from the public and also from the guest chefs themselves which chose among them their own winner.

This is still only the concept of doing more out of the Food and Fun event for the public and domestic media. We also know that there will be great group of media from Europe and US that will follow the event in details.
