Growing up in North Dakota and Iowa, Brant Tesky is no stranger to farm-fresh food. In fact both sets of grandparents owned farms. Both grandmothers were good cooks. So is his mother. He spent lots of his childhood in their kitchens, watching, learning, and eating.
Brant Tesky is now the head chef at Acadiana in Washington DC. The restaurant is owned by chef Jeff Tunks, one of the biggest names in the restaurant industry in Washington DC. Tunks has also been a Food and Fun participant from the beginning, both as a chef and as a judge.
Brant studied to become a chef at the respected Culinary Institude of America which is considered one of the best institutes in the world.
The cuisine at Acadiana is origin from Louisiana and New Orleans.
